WebPT EMR
- Electronic Benefits Verification
- WebPT eBenefit Verification—or eBV for short—saves rehab therapy practices time by quickly verifying patient insurance benefits electronically in the WebPT EMR and placing that information directly in the patient’s chart—thus eliminating the need for lengthy phone calls and hold time with insurance companies.
- Digital Patient Intake
- Members using SOAP 1.0 can now benefit from the same DPI to EMR workflow that therapists using SOAP 2.0 enjoy. With this new workflow, whenever Members have a digital patient intake for a patient, seven relevant fields from the intake will be imported directly into the Initial Evaluation. If there is an existing DPI in Reach, Members will be prompted with a confirmation and the data will not overwrite existing data. Click here to learn more.
- Compliance Updates
- CO/CQ Modifier
- To comply with the updated CMS 2022 rules on Assistant Modifiers, a new feature has been added for Members to input therapist versus assistant-performed minutes for each CPT. This feature will then auto-calculate which units should have the Assistant Modifier and which should not.
- MIPS IROMS Measures
- Members who participate in MIPS are now able to document IROMS Patient Reported Outcomes in SOAP 1.0. After collecting two scores for the outcome measurement tool associated with the measure, the patient’s MCID will be automatically calculated, and the risk-adjusted score will be available in MIPSPro.

SOAP 2.0
- Added Content
- Work Evaluation Subsection
- Work Evaluation is a new subsection in the Subjective section that includes job description information in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations and the Department of Labor. There has also been expansion on pain tracking (such as location of pain at onset) where constant versus intermittent symptoms occur, sleeping information in Health Status, and addition of Leisure activities in Social History.
- Movement Based Exams
- New WebPT Profiles have been added for Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar Spine Movement-Based Exams. When these profiles are added, new subsections will be added to the Objective and Assessment sections to allow for documentation of tests and diagnosis classifications related to movement-based treatments, such as the McKenzie Method.

- Faxing Enhancements
- Faxing Multiple Recipients: Multiple recipients can now be added to a single fax and each recipient will then show as a single fax on the Outbound Fax Log. The fax modal has been updated to prepopulate all referring physicians, not just the primary referring physician.
- Added eDocs to SOAP 2.0 Note fax: Therapists and front office users can now fax and track patient records as well as send the entire patient case with finalized notes and eDocs records.
- eDocs Fax Tracking in the Outbound Fax Log: When therapists and front office users include eDocs records in a fax, the eDocs records will now show in the Outbound Fax Log listed below the notes attached.
- Splitting Large Faxes: Because there’s a 15 MB limit on the total size of fax files, the faxing system will now read the size of the attachments and split them into separate messages if needed. These separate messages can be seen in a drawer in the Outbound Fax Log.

Tasking
- Navigation Enhancements
- Global Tasking Icons
- A Patient Task icon will now appear in SOAP 2.0 patient charts next to the patient’s name and will display the number of open tasks for that patient. Once selected, the icon will trigger a pop-up window to appear and show both open and completed tasks. Additionally, this pop-up window does not allow for an alternate patient to be added in order to ensure that tasks aren’t accidentally created for other patients. We have also created a Global Task icon located in the upper right corner - Members will be able to see the number of open tasks specific to them and can click the icon to open the Tasking application which then defaults to that Member’s open tasks. - Task ID
- To assist Members with communicating about tasks, each task will now be assigned a Task ID which is located in the task detail drawer and task table. Members are also able to find Task IDs through the Search field. Click here to learn more.
