How to Access Tasking

*This product is currently in Limited Release to a select group of Members and will be gradually rolled out over the following weeks.

Let’s review how to access Tasking—and how to access the patient's chart from Tasking.

SOAP 1.0

In the 1.0 Patient Chart, the Tasking icon appears next to the patient’s name. The icon next to the patient’s name displays the total number of open tasks linked to the patient. If there is no related badge number, the patient does not have any open tasks but may have completed tasks.

Important: Tasks are only used internally and are assigned to users within your organization. To learn more about linking a patient to a task, click here.
  • On the patient’s chart, click on the Patient Tasks icon to open the Tasking pop-up window.
Important: You may need to disable your browser’s pop-up blocker.
  • The Tasking window displays all tasks associated with the patient. Tasks are listed in alphabetical order. In this example, the patient has one open task and one closed task.
  • Click on each task to view the Task Details such as Task Type, Status, Priority, Task Tags, Comment history, and more.
  • To add a new task, use the Add Task button. To learn more about creating a new task, click here.

SOAP 2.0

  • On the patient’s chart, click on the Patient Tasks icon to open the Tasking pop-up window.

Important: You may need to disable your browser’s pop-up blocker.
  • The Tasking window displays all tasks associated with the patient and are listed in alphabetical order. In this example, the patient has one open task and one closed task.

  • Click on each task to view the Task Details such as Task Type, Status, Priority, Task Tags, Comment history, and more.

Global Task Icons

Whether you’re working in SOAP 1.0 or SOAP 2.0, quickly access the Tasking application by clicking the Global Task Icons.

  • In SOAP 1.0, the Global Tasking Icon is in the global navigation header menu located above the WebPT EMR Dashboard.
  • In SOAP 2.0, the Global Tasking Icon is found next to your username, in the top right corner of the page.

Tasking

Additionally, you can access the patient's chart directly from Tasking.

  1. In the Patient Search bar, enter at least three characters of the patient’s first or last name or the full EMR patient ID, then select the patient. Filter your results by Company and Location. Results are based on your user permissions and the clinics/locations you have access to.
  2. Select a task related to the patient to open the Task details. Click EMR Chart to navigate to the patient's chart.
