Duplicate Patient Alert
There are two duplicate patient alerts that may appear when you attempt to save a patient that already exists. Let's review the alerts and what they mean.
Note: The system will not issue a duplicate patient alert for patients with pending intakes.
Duplicate Patient in Your Clinic
When attempting to save a patient that already exists in your clinic, you'll receive the alert below. If you select Ok, you'll create a duplicate; choosing Cancel will not save the patient.
Duplicate Patient in Another Clinic
If you are part of a clinic that has multiple locations, you may receive an alert if the patient already exists in another location. Choosing OK will take you to the existing patient and add the new location, and choosing Cancel will not save the patient.
