Duplicate Encounters in Kareo
Duplicate Encounters in Kareo can be created in WebPT when attempting to send claims through the system. If you notice a duplicate encounter in Kareo, reference the Claims Feed Report in WebPT.
The Claims Feed Report will show you the Start/End date of a range of claims that have been submitted, whether or not they were successful, and how many of them have been sent. A duplicate encounter in Kareo most likely means that an addendum was added to the original documentation and resent as an encounter. This occurs when the therapist selects Finalize and Rebill.
You can also resubmit the original claim from the Claims Feed Report by selecting the Validation Failed link and using the Resubmit Claim button.
