UB-04 Billing: Kareo Setup

To start billing UB-04 using your WebPT + Kareo integration, please complete the following tasks in Kareo; then, complete the one-time setup tasks in WebPT. Finally, review how to use UB-04 billing for a patient in WebPT.

Configure Encounter Options in Kareo PM

To configure Kareo for UB-04 billing, complete the following tasks in Kareo PM.

1. Click Settings; then click Options and Encounter Options.
2. Select the appropriate claim formats.
3. When you’re finished, click Save.

Indicate Bill Type and Pay-To Address in Kareo PM

1. Click Settings; then click Service Locations.
2. Find the service location and double-click to open.
3. Select the Bill Type (it should be the same as the Bill Type you use in WebPT).
4. Enter the Pay-To Name and Address.
5. Click Save.

Setup Revenue Codes in Kareo PM

1. Click Settings; then click Codes and Find Procedure Codes.
2. Find a procedure code and double-click to open.
3. Select the appropriate Default Revenue Code from the drop-down. 
4. Click Save.
